5.6 Installing the CM
Install the CM within 1.5 metres of the VMs or use a ComfoNet-RJ45 extension cable.
Mount the CM within 1.5 metres of a grounded wall socket.
Dowels and screws are not included.
The installation of a CM-basic and a CM-connect is identical.
Attach the CM-holder to a flat surface of a wall or ceiling.
Always tighten screws by hand. Do not use power tools for this.
Make sure that the CM-holder is always placed vertically when it is mounted on the wall.

For wall mounting, use the attachment points of Fig. 5.7, pos. 3, 6 or 7.
For ceiling mounting, use only the attachment points of Fig. 5.7, pos. 6.
When mounting, make sure that the Wi-Fi button of the CM remains easily accessible and all LEDs
remain visible.

1. Attach the CM-holder (Fig. 5.7, pos. 5) to the wall
(Fig. 5.7, pos. 5, pos. 6 or pos. 7) or to the ceiling
(Fig. 5.7, pos. 6) with two dowels and screws (Fig. 5.7,
pos. 4 or 6). Use screws suitable for the wall or ceiling.
2. Install the CM (Fig. 5.7, pos. 1) in the CM-holder
(Fig. 5.7, pos. 5).
3. Tighten the screw (Fig. 5.7, pos. 2) by hand in the
CM-holder (Fig. 5.7, pos. 4).
