3. Safety
Please read all safety information to ensure safe and correct assembly, installation and commissioning of the
air volume controller. Please refer to the full manual for detailed information and applicable safety and
installation regulations.
Assembly, installation, commissioning and service activities may only be carried out by an installer approved
by Zehnder, unless otherwise indicated.
It is not permitted to modify the air volume controller or the specifications in this document. An adjustment
may cause personal injury or damage to the functioning of the system.
After correct assembly and installation, parts that could cause injuries are safely located in the housing.
3.1
Safety with regard to installation
Dangerous electrical voltage! Danger of death or injury by electric voltage
230 V AC.
Work on the 230 V AC mains supply may only be carried out by qualified
electricians.
Ensure that the volumetric air volume controller is de-energised before starting
work.
Keep children and animals away from the installation area during installation.
Install the air volume controller only as described in these instructions.
Always follow the local safety regulations when installing the system.
Always connect air ducts on both sides of the VM of at least 900 mm before
connecting the power supply to the CM. This ensures that you cannot touch the
moving valve inside the VM when it is in operation.
Before installation, consult and follow the technical specifications as given in chapter 4.1 and follow these.
The entire installation must comply with the applicable (safety) regulations as stated in:

The NEN1010 safety regulations for low voltage installations;
■
The assembly and installation instructions of the manufacturer.
■
Make sure that there is no power to the volumetric flow control system before starting the installation or
■
disassembly.
Use only undamaged connection cables.
