12. Changing the transmission
joystick assignment
If you want to fly with the pre-set stick assignments described above, then you can ignore this chapter.
However, if you wish to exchange the control of the pitch and nod function at the transmitter, you have the possibility
to carry out modifications on the transmitter. However, this requires some experience in handling remote control
sensors and a bit of skill.
Unscrew the four screws by means of a Phillips-tip
screwdriver from the rear panel of the transmitter and lift
the rear panel carefully.
Once you have disconnected the power supply cable from
the plug connection on the main circuit board (ill. 17, pos.
1), you can set the rear wall aside.
Seen from the rear, remove the two attachment screws of
the snap bar (2) on the right control stick module and lift
off the bar (3).
Now remove the safety screw (4) of the readjusting lever
(5). After removing the screw, the lever folds downwards
due to the force of the installed spring and keeps the control
stick in the center position.
Now reinsert the attachment screw (4) you removed from
the right control stick aggregate (seen from the rear) at
the left aggregate. To do so, you have to lift the reset lever
(5) slightly.
Now retighten the clamp (3) on the left aggregate as well.
Do not tighten the screws (2) excessively, otherwise the
control stick will be hard to move.
Finally, check the mechanical function of both control
Figure 17
sticks.
To also adapt the control signals electronically to the new stick assignment, you have to switch the mode switch (6)
from left to right.
Finally, reattach the power supply cable to the main circuit board and replace the rear wall. Make sure that the antenna
base is inserted correctly in the housing and that there is no gap between the two housing parts.
Now screw the attachment screws back into the rear wall and check the function of the system.
