14. Fine tuning of the model helicopter

a) Checking and setting the swash plate control
Attention!
Always disconnect the flight battery from the model before performing maintenance or adjustment work
on the model.
If the swash plate (see ill. on the right, pos. 1) is not
perfectly vertical after turning the helicopter on, or if you
have to move the nod and roll trim extensively during hover
flight, you an fine-tune the swash plate control
mechanically.
First start running the transmitter then the model.
As soon as the binding process is completed, the servos
(2) run in central (neutral) position.
In this position, the servo levers (3) must be horizontally
aligned. The trim lever for the nod and roll function on the
transmitter must be in central position.
If necessary, remove the attachment screw (4) of the servo
lever, pull the lever off the rotation axis and mount it in the
right position by shifting it by one tooth.
If the swash plate is still slightly slanted despite a horizon-
tal servo lever, you can detach the ball sockets (5) of the
control rods at the swash plate and adjust the required
length of the rods by turning.
You best use a small set of pincers to detach/attach the ball sockets.
