A key to switch the unit from standby mode to power mode:
Blue key on: Unit powered
Key switched off: Unit in standby mode
A short push switches the unit on. A long push of 2 seconds switches the unit off. A long push of 6 seconds resets the unit
in case of lock.
A LED to indicate the state of charge of the battery:
Green LED on: Battery charging
A LED to indicate the presence of mains supply :
Red LED on: Unit connected to mains
A.2.6 Batteries and charger
Precautions to be taken if battery charge is low:
On reception of your CALYS 1500 it can happen that the batteries are not sufficiently charged for optimum operation or
even for starting up the device.
It is therefore required to connect the device to the mains (see paragraph A.2.4) and to wait for a few minutes before
starting it up (by pressing the On/Off button).
During normal operation:
When the symbol flashes on the display, the battery should be recharged at the earliest. Connect the charger to the
network, the charge indicator (green LED)
hours for a complete recharge and disconnect the charger when the charge indicator
Warning
Only use the mains adaptor supplied with the calibrator.
The charger is for indoor use only, at an ambient temperature not exceeding 40° C (104° F).
Access to the charger must be granted to facilitate disconnection from the electrical network.
A.2.7 Replacing the battery pack
To replace the battery pack, contact your dealer.
A.2.8 Backup battery (date and time)
Date and time are saved when the instruments is switched off on a 3 V Lithium battery (CR1225 type).
A.2.9 Mobile case legs and handle
The case legs can be moved to grant the user a comfortable viewing angle when CALYS 1500 is placed on a desk. Bend
the case legs at convenience and place CALYS 1500 on a desk.
To change the handle position, press the buttons located at both sides of the handle.
