The instructions for use of this equipment consist of different sets of instructions:
general instructions, accessory instructions for Link 20/30/40 components and
instructions that are specific to the device in use (Easy Access or Easy Speed). All
sets of instructions must be carefully read before using the equipment. Attention!
This document only contains the accessory instructions for Link 20/30/40 lan-
yards.
ACCESSORY INSTRUCTIONS - LINK 20/30/40.
This note contains the necessary information for a correct use of the following
product/s: components Link 20/30/40.
1) FIELD OF APPLICATION.
Link 20/30/40 products are accessory components and/or spare parts to be
used exclusively with Easy Access or Easy Speed devices: verify their compatibility
in table 1. Attention! Link 20/30/40 products, by themselves, do not comply
with any regulation and therefore they are not PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Attention! Any use other than stated is to be considered prohibited. Attention! For
this product the indications of the standard EN 365 must be respected (general
instructions / paragraph 2.5). Attention! For this product a periodic thorough
inspection is compulsory (general instructions / paragraph 8.).
2) NOMENCLATURE (Fig. 3).

2.1 - Main materials. Refer to the legend in the general instructions (paragraph
2.4): 7, 10 (Link 20/40); 2, 7, 13 (Link 30).
3) MARKING.
Numbers/letters without caption: refer to the legend in the general instructions
(paragraph 5).
3.1 - General (Fig. 2). Indications: 1; 2; 7; 8; 30) Marking stating that the device
includes Slider system (patented). 31) Marking stating that the device can only be
used as indicated. 32) Types of compatible harnesses. 33) Maximum admitted
length, including the connectors. 34) Compatible device (Easy Access or Easy
Speed). 35) Marking stating that the device is not an EN 355 energy absorber.
36) Warning indicating to refer to the relative instructions for use for the maximum
rated load. 37) Maximum rated load.
3.2 - Traceability (Fig. 2). Indications: T2; T8; T9; T10.
4) CHECKS.
Further to the checks listed below, comply with what indicated in the gen-
eral instructions (paragraph 3). To proceed with the inspection it is nec-
essary to open the protective pouch and check what is inside it. Atten-
tion! Pay attention to the way in which the textile and/or metallic part of
the component is inserted inside the pouch to place it in its original position
at the end of the check. Attention! When repositioning the textile part in-
side the pouch, pay attention not to create knots on the webbing (Fig. 3.2).
Before each use check that: the protective pouch is intact (e.g. no holes, cuts and
excessive wear) and the zip works correctly; the safety label is intact; there are no
tears in the stitching due to having arrested a fall or to a mishandling of the system.
5) COMPATIBILITY.
The component must be integrated with two EN 362 oval connectors, maximum
110 mm long, and with anti-rotation positioning devices: the use of Fix Pro devic-
es (supplied) is recommended. The system must then be connected to the device
(Easy Access or Easy Speed) as explained in the specific instructions for use of
each device.
6) SYMBOLS.
Refer to the legend in the general instructions (paragraph 15): F1; F9.
7) REPLACEMENT PARTS / ACCESSORIES.
This product is compatible only with the spare parts and specific accessories listed
below: Fix Pro (Ref. No. 6V82800). Attention! It is possible to employ the Link 30
component with devices compatible with the component Link 30+: bear in mind
the new weight limit of 210 kg.
