Whitelisting allowed URLs
Whitelisting is an IT security measure used to regulate and approve addresses that
users can access to perform specified tasks.
These 5 URL/IP addresses are to be whitelisted:
y https://minio-s3-gateway.live-asset.com port 443
 used for firmware upgrade; gateway fetches the firmware package from the
given URL
y ssl://mqtt.accelix.com port 443
 used by gateway to post measurements
y time.nist.gov port 123
 used by gateway to update the gateway timestamp
y 1.europe.pool.ntp.org port 123
 used by gateway to update the gateway timestamp
y 132.163.97.3 port 123
 used by gateway to update the gateway timestamp
Bluetooth signal strength between sensor and gateway
For correct operation, the Bluetooth signal strength between the sensor and the
gateway must be strong. The signal strength shows the power present in the
received Bluetooth signal. The signal strength depends on environmental conditions
and not change with a sensor reset.
y If signal strength is weak:
 Check gateway surrounding for metal bars.
 Check gateway antenna; a broken antenna will affect all sensors.
 Make sure sensors are not enclosed, and are near to the gateway.
 Check sensor status LED (see Sensor status LED on page 41);
replace all batteries if required (check under Insights/Devices in
eMaint condition monitoring)
 Check for other strong WiFi signal that interferes with the Bluetooth signal.
NOTE: The WiFi signal and the Bluetooth signal are both using a 2.4 GHz
wirelss link.
