Chapter 6: Mount sensors and gateways permanently
Select locations to mount sensors
Sensors are mounted on the bearing housing. Mount the sensors on the top or at the
side or at the end of the bearing casing.
The sensor is mounted on test surfaces using a mounting adapter.
These adapters are available:
 Screw mounting adapter which has an M8 threaded stud (1) – see page
29
 Adhesive mounting adapter which has an M4 removable centring pin (2) –
see page 32

Both mounting adapters may be fastened or loosened using a specially designed
wrench with a standard 9 X 12 mm (23/64 x 15/32 in.) allen key grip. The allen key
grip is suitable for torque wrenches.
