Getting started with Analysis Vibration Sensor System
2. Drill the four holes in the wall as marked. Insert the rawlplugs into the drilled
holes, then place the gateway snugly against the wall.
3. Using a screwdriver, screw the wall mount screws into the rawlplugs. Tighten the
screws to secure the gateway to the wall.'
4. Connect the selected power supply source — PoE or 24 V DC — to the gateway.
Chapter 7: System description
The system comprises three main components:
3563 Analysis Vibration Sensor – for wireless collection of vibration
measurements and temperature
3503 Wireless Gateway – for transmitting measurenment data
Accelix™ Data Platform – for analysis and storage of measurement data
3563 Analysis Vibration Sensor
The sensor is a battery-operated triaxial sensor that uses two MEMS sensors and a
piezoelectric sensor. Measurements are made in three orthogonal directions (X, Y,
and Z-axis). The two MEMS sensors are used to measure low frequency vibrations
in the X and Y orthogonal axes. The piezoelectric sensor measures both low and
high frequency vibrations in the Z-axis which is the main sensing axis. The sensor
measures also temperature data.
Types of measurement
The sensor makes the following measurements:
Vibration measurements that include RMS and zero-to-peak (supported
measurement quantities are velocity and acceleration)
Time waveform
