Getting started with Analysis Vibration Sensor System
Physical installation of gateways and sensors
This section tells the user how to physically mount gateways and sensors, and should
be performed on site.
Before installation
y All applicable statutory regulations, including safety, accident prevention and
environmental protection regulations, and the recognized technical safety rules
are strictly adhered to.
y Evaluating and determining the locations to mount the sensors and the
corresponding gateways.
y The system is installed by a qualified technician (or machine specialist).
y All components and tools required for the installation are available on site (see
Tools and accessories on pages 29 and 37).
y Electric power or Power over Ethernet (PoE) and a data network connection (WiFi
or Ethernet) that conforms to the specifications are available on site.
NOTE: The ultimate mounting positions will be determined by the infrastructure
within the plant where the gateways and sensors are to be installed. In most
instances, assets are permanently fixed and the only components that can be moved
around are the gateways and sensors.
After the commissioning of sensors, the item Physical Installation in the Home
screen is active.
