Mount the Gateway
NOTE: Mounting can be done before or after configuring the gateway, but
configuration prior to installation is recommended. For more information about
configuring the gateway, refer to eMaint condition monitoring online help.
The gateway must be installed by knowledgeable, skilled persons familiar with
electrical regulations.
The gateway must be installed at an exposed position with a guaranteed source of
power. Gateways should be installed with a maximum distance of 100 m (direct line
of sight) from the configured sensors. The gateway must not in any way interfere with
plant operation.

y Drill bit (4.8 mm / 3/16")
y Wall mount screws (6 x 50 mm / 15/64" x 1 31/32")
y Washers
y Rawlplugs (8 x 40 mm / 5/16" x 1 37/64")
y Cordless screwdriver
y Spirit level
Mounting procedure
1. Place the gateway against the wall and use a spirit (bubble) level to position the
gateway at the true horizontal.
Use the gateway mounting bracket as a template to mark the positions to drill the
four holes on the wall.
