Load Balancing
Load Balancing is a module for distributing traffic between several interfaces. Load Balancing can be used to share
the data load between different interfaces and increase the internet throughput for multiple users and connections.
The load does not increase the speed for a single connection. However, data balancing can be used to increase the
speed of multiple connections.
NOTE: Load Balancing and Network Management cannot be used at the same time. If you wish to select the Data
Balancing module, click on the drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the page:
Below is an example of the Load Balancing page.
When Load Balancing is selected, you can assign ratio values to the different interfaces. The ratio value represents
a percentage of the traffic load that will pass through an interface.

Value
Description
Off | on;
Turn the interface on or off.
Default: off
Integer [1..65000];
Number of seconds between each test
Default: 3
Connected |
Flushes established connections after the selected
Disconnected: none
scenario occurs to renew the priorities of configured
interfaces.
Ping | Wget;
Defines how health check will be performed on this
Default: Ping
interface when determining its state.
Ip | hostname;
IP address(es) or hostname(s) that will be used to
Default: 1.1.1.1,8.8.8.8
determine an interface's state. If the device receives no
response from any of the specified hosts, the interface
will be considered as 'Offline'. If this value is missing
the interface is always considered up.
Integer [1..65000];
Number of hosts that must reply for the test to be
Default: 1
considered successful. Make sure there are at least this
many hosts defined in the 'Track IP' field, otherwise the
interface will always be considered as 'Offline'.
Integer [1..65000];
Number of pings to send to each host with each test.
Default: 1
Integer [1..65000];
Number of successful tests required to considered an
Default: 3
interface as 'Online'.
Integer [1..65000];
Number of failed tests required to considered an
Default: 3
interface as 'Offline'.
