Error message / Troubleshooting
Touch panel on screen is not functioning
properly.
Instrument alarm sounds cannot be heard.
Printer is not printing.
Barcode reader is not functioning.
Accumulator must be re-charged frequently.
Clock battery warning is displayed.
Possible cause
Touch calibration is not correct
i.e. the active area is not under the button.
Touch panel is not responding at all.
Volume is set at a low level.
Instrument sound system has a malfunction.
The printer is off or the printer cable is not
connected or the printer has malfunction or the
settings are not correct.
The barcode reader is not connected or
the barcode reader has a malfunction or
the settings are not correct.
Accumulator storage capacity decreases
during its life time.
Internal clock battery is empty.
Corrective action
Calibrate the touch screen according to the pro-
cedure described in the Maintenance chapter.
Contact customer service.
Set volume according to the procedure de-
scribed in the Section "Personal settings".
Restart QuikRead go Instrument. If the problem
persists, please contact customer service.
Make sure that the printer is connected and
its power is on. Check the settings.
If the problem continues start-up the instrument
and printer and retry printing from the Results
menu. If problem continues, contact customer
service.
Make sure that the barcode reader is
connected. Check the settings. If the problem
continues start-up the instrument and retry the
barcode reading. If problem continues, contact
customer service.
Replace the old accumulator with a new one
according to the procedure described in the
Section "Inserting accumulator".
Replace the clock battery according to the
procedure described in the Section "Changing
the clock battery".
