3. Use of a Music-IC
A: Musical Doorbell with a Loudspeaker

Preliminary Note: The music sounds quieter, and therefore more
pleasant, if the minus pole of the battery is connected via the resistor..
27. Hand-operated musical doorbell
Close the slide switch (15). The loudspeaker (20) allows music to be
heard. When the music stops, it can be turned on again via the pressure
switch (14).
28. Magnet-operated musical doorbell
Replace the pressure switch (14) with the reed switch (13) and the bell
can be operated with the magnet.
29. Light-operated musical doorbell
Replace the pressure switch (14) with the photo-sensor (16); now the
bell can be operated with light. When light shines on the photo-sensor
(16) the bell sounds. If the photo-resistor (16) is in sufficient shadow, the
bell music stops (for example, by dimming with the box lid).
30. Magnet-operated musical doorbell
When the pressure switch (14) is replaced with the the humidity switch
(12), the music is played through the moistening of the contact area, for
example, with a wet finger.
31. Sound-operated musical doorbell
Connect the sound transducer (11) to the points A and B. When the
music stops, it will start again if you clap your hands or speak loudly.
32. Motor-operated musical doorbell
Connect the motor (24) to the points A and B. When the music stops, it
will start again when you slightly turn the axle of the motor (24).
33. Vibration switch-operated musical doorbell – 1 –
Close the slide switch (15). When the music stops, it will start again
when you lightly tap on the base plate.
34. Vibration switch-operated musical doorbell – 2 –
Replace the LED (17) with the vibration switch (10), lightly tap on the
base plate and the music is played.
35. Time-limited, hand-operated musical doorbell – 1 –
Replace the vibration switch (10) with the pressure switch (14), on
pressing it the music starts.
36. Time-limited, hand-operated musical doorbell – 2 –
Replace the the LED (17) with the pressure switch (14), on pressing it
the music starts.
37. Time-limited, hand-operated musical doorbell – 3 –
Remove the vibration switch (10), keep the LED (17). Connect the
pressure switch (14) to the points A and B. By pressing the switch (14)
the music is played.
