Operation of the Model Helicopter

a) Charging the Flight Battery
The three-cell flight battery (1) is charged using the sup-
plied mains adapter (2) and the LiPo charger (3).
When charging, always remove the flight bat-
tery from the model in order to prevent shape
distortion of the plastic parts if the components
heat up.
First connect the mains adapter connection cable (4) at the
top of the LiPo charger.
The two battery charging sockets (5 and 6) are on the lower
side of the LiPo charger.
The plug of the 4-pole rechargeable battery cable (balancer
connection cable) is protected against polarity reversal and
to be connected to the right charging socket (5). The left
charging socket (6) is intended for a 2-cell LiPo battery.
Attention!
When connecting the plug connector protected
against polarity reversal to the LiPo charger,
ensure that the two guide pins of the plug point
upwards.
The 2-pole connection cable with the BEC plug (7) is not
required for charging. Later on, you connect the recharge-
able battery to the model with this cable.
The connection cable of the mains adapter is wound up at delivery. Before first use, the cable retainer
must be opened and the cable unwound.
Attention!
The LiPo charger can charge either 2-cell LiPo batteries with 7.4 V or 3-cell LiPo batteries with 11.1 V.
Never connect a 2- and a 3-cell battery to the LiPo charger at the same time.
After connecting the mains adapter (see figure 4, item 2) to a 230 V mains socket, the green operating voltage display
at the mains adapter lights up (see figure 4, item 8) and shows that the charger is correctly supplied with voltage.
Three charging control LEDs light up red at the LiPo charger (see figure 4, item 9) to indicate charging of the three cells
in the battery. Once the charge process is completed, the all three charging control LEDs are lit green permanently.
Since charging and voltage monitoring are performed separately for each cell, the three charging control
displays will not switch from red to green at once but in sequence.
