Maintenance and Care

Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control with a soft, dry cloth or brush only. Never use aggressive
cleansing agents or chemical solutions, because they might damage the surface of the housing.
Check the mechanical parts of the model throughout at regu-
lar intervals. All screwed connections should be tight and
should not loosen up due to vibrations of the helicopter.
Make sure that the grub screws in the top set collar (1) and
the bottom set collar (2) of the main rotor shaft have a tight
fit.
The two main gears of the drive (3) must be aligned cleanly
with the motor gears (4) and must not catch or have too
much clearance when turning.
On demand, loosen the motor attachment screws (5) and
slide a strip of paper (6) between the motor and main pin-
ion.
Press the motor against the main pinion by hand and screw
it into position.
After removing the paper, tooth backlash is set.
Rotatable parts must turn easily but there must not be any play in the bearings.
When replacing mechanical parts use only original spares available from the manufacturer.
