Troubleshooting guide coffee making selection
Symptom:
The coffee is not hot enough
The jug is too full or is
overflowing
Not enough coffee is getting
into the jug.
E1 (filling time error)
E8 (minimum water sensor
fault) from software version 1.4
An E2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 appears in
the display and both indicator
lights flickers.
Symptom:
After filling until the max. level,
the heating does not come on.
The water boiler does not heat
up, both indicator lights are
flickering.
After descaling, the water boiler
does not fill up.
The water boiler does not heat
up or fills partially and
switches off, both indicator lights
start to flicker.
The water boiler does not heat up,
both indicator lights keep flicker-
ing. Switching the water boiler off
and back on, does not help.
Animo
Possible cause:
There is no lid on the jug.
The set quantity is too high.
The set quantity is too low.
Appliance fills too slowly. the
water supply is blocked
Reservoir does not fill during
the brewing proces.
The control unit is reporting a
defect that can only be
resolved by a service technician.
Troubleshooting guide water boiler
Possible cause:
The dry-boil protection has been
switched off.
The safety electrode has turned
off the system, the water level is
too high. The lower electrode
needs to be descaled.
The water temperature is set too
high. The water is boiling and
touches the safety
electrode which turns off the
system.
The electrodes are not free of
acid.
The water boiler fills up too
slowly.
Switch off the appliance.
Action:
Use the lid.
Lower the quantity.
See chapter 5.1 Setting the
amount of coffee.
Increase the quantity.
See chapter 5.1 Setting the
amount of coffee.
Check the water supply. Fully
open the tap. Increase the
water pressure. Switch the
appliance on and off. The error
report will disappear.
Contact dealer or service
technican.
Action:
Switch the dry-boil protection
back on.
Switch off the water boiler.
Descale the water boiler and the
electrodes. Please note: after
descaling, the electrodes need to
be free of acid.
Switch off the water boiler. Set
the water temperature at a lower
level. See chapter 4.7: Setting of
water temperature water boiler.
Clean the electrodes.
Switch the water boiler off and
then turn it on again.
Open the water supply tap com-
pletely. Check the connection
hose for kinks. Check if the filter
of the solenoid valve is clogged
up.
Call your dealer or service techni-
cian.
