System start-up

This section has the objective of describing the start-up of a "simple" system with no special settings, showing the installation of all the
components and the programming of the basic functions (areas, scenarios, inputs, outputs, telephone notifications) .
Before starting up the system the following must have been completed:
• Laying control unit bus RS485 .
• Cabling inputs .
• Cabling outputs .
• Cabling control unit .
• Cabling keypads, readers, accessories, ...
The start-up of the system is explained below .

First switch-on / PRELIMINARY CHECKS

Check the connection to earth and to the primary 230 V AC power supply .

SYSTEM IN MAINTENANCE / OPERATION MODE

In order to avoid unwanted activations of sirens or telephone calls during system maintenance, it is possible to disable these functions by
putting the system into MAINTENANCE mode .

In maintenance mode the control unit disables:
• Voice calls and SMS .
• Activating alarm outputs .

Via the User Menu it is still possible, however, to test the disabled functions .

CHANGE CONTROL UNIT LANGUAGE

Updating the language also allows the firmware to be updated and can be done using the PX MANAGER programming software or the FW
UPDATER tool .

POWER ON CONTROL UNIT

• Power the control unit with 230 V AC and connect the battery .
• At first switch-on the control unit follows the setting of parameter

• Switch off the system by entering the user code
