4.1.6 Screw Retention
Secure the fastening screws against loosening. This is achieved, depending on the application,
using e.g.
• Coated screws
• Threadlocker
• Schorr washers
Kübler recommends a threadlocker, e.g. Loctite (order code: 8.0000.4G05.0000).
We recommend an additional protection against manipulation by marking the fastening screws
with locking varnish or similar.
4.1.7 Cable Routing
NOTICE
Wiring
When wiring the facility, pay attention to proper cable routing.
• Separate the wiring into power groups such as motor/power supply lines and signal and data
lines.
• Route the signal and data lines as close as possible to ground surfaces (frames, metal rails,
cabinet sides) and not parallel to motor and power supply lines or other lines carrying high in-
terference levels.

Inserting the coded band
Before putting the second slide in place and fastening the locking ele-
ment, imperatively check the proper position of the coded band in the
sensor in compliance with the type plate.
Also check the proper position and guiding of the coded tape in the
two slides before sliding the locking element over both slides and se-
curing it with the screw.
The locking element may not show any trace of bending or breakage.
In this case, it must be replaced immediately.
Parallel alignment of coded band and sensor
Use the screw connection of the car fastening plate to make sure that
the sensor cannot tip over because of the car movements. A parallel
run of the sensor with respect to the coded tape must be guaranteed
in order to prevent excessive wear of the slides or even the swinging
up of the coded band.
Cable Routing
Route the sensor cable free of any tension, so that no additional
force is applied on the measuring system. Consider the minimum
bending radii of the connection cable.
Comply with the instructions in chapter
Information for EMC-Compliant Installation [} 38].
