4.1.9 Step by Step Installation
The steps necessary for mounting the measuring system are represented as a sequence of
graphics at the end of this operation manual, see Graphics [} 67].
The illustrations used for this purpose are examples intended to describe the operating prin-
ciple.
The following partial steps will lead to successful installation of the measuring system:
a) Analyze the construction plan and/or the plan of the shaft for the free run of the coded band
and the consistent sensor fastening on the car roof [} 67].
b) Mount the rail fastening plate in the shaft head [} 67].
Secure the screws against loosening, see chapter Screw Retention [} 36].
c) Attach the carabiner and the coded band [} 68].
d) Uncoil the coded band up to the shaft pit [} 68].
e) Mount the rail fastening plate in the shaft pit [} 69]. Secure the screws against loosening,
see chapter Screw Retention [} 36].
f) Shorten the coded band to the required length, attach the tension spring to the coded band
and attach the tension spring [} 69].
g) Loosen the locking element and remove the front slide [} 70].
h) Insert the coded band and the slides and fasten the locking element [} 70].
i) Mount the sensor on the car fastening plate and mount the plate on the car roof [} 71].
j) Carry out the adjustment (e. g. with a short test travel) and tighten the screwed connections
[} 71]. Secure the screws against loosening, see chapter Screw Retention [} 36].
