General Power Tool Safety Warnings
WARNING
Read all the safety notes, instructions, illustrations and technical data which
come with this device. Failure to heed the following instructions can lead to elec-
tric shock, fi re and/or severe injuries.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
1) Workplace safety
a) Keep your workplace clean and well lit. Untidiness and unlit work areas can
lead to accidents.
b) Do not work with the device in an explosive environment in which there
are infl ammable liquids, gases or dusts. Devices produce sparks which can
ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep the devices out of the rain and wet. Penetration of water into a device
increases the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not misuse the connecting cable to carry or hang up the device or to
pull the plug out of the socket. Keep the connecting cable away from heat,
oil, sharp edges or moving tool parts. Damaged or knotted connecting cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When working with a device outdoors only use extension cables which are
suitable for outdoor work. Use of an extension cable suitable for outdoor work
reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If use of the device in a wet environment is unavoidable, use a fault current
circuit breaker. The use of a fault current circuit breaker reduces the risk of
electric shock.
2) Safety of persons
a) Be cautious, pay attention to what you are doing and use a device reason-
ably and responsibly. Do not use a device when you are tired or under the
infl uence of drugs, alcohol or medicines. Just one careless moment when
using the device can lead to serious injury.
b) Wear personal safety equipment and always wear safety glasses. Wearing
personal safety equipment such as a dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, a safety
helmet or ear protectors, depending on the type and application of the device,
reduces the risk of injuries.
c) Avoid accidental operation. Make sure that the device is switched off before
connecting it to the power supply, picking up or carrying it. Carrying the
electrical device with your fi nger on the switch or connecting it to the power supply
switched on can lead to accidents.
d) Avoid abnormal body posture. Make sure that you have a fi rm footing and
keep your balance at all times. You will then be able to control the device better
in unexpected situations.
e) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or
long hair can get caught in moving parts.
f) Do not give yourself a false sense of security and do not ignore the safety
rules for devices even when you are very familiar with the device after
frequent use. Careless actions can lead to serious injuries within fractions of a
second.
3) Using and handling the device
a) Do not overload the device. Use the device suitable for the work that you
are doing. You can work better and safer in the specifi ed power range with the
suitable device.
b) Do not use a device with a defective switch. A device which cannot be switched
on and off is dangerous and must be repaired.

c) Pull the plug out of the socket before making device settings, changing
accessories or putting the device away. This safety precaution prevents
unintentional starting of the device.
d) Keep devices out of reach of children when not in use. Do not allow persons
to use the tool who are not familiar with it or have not read these instruc-
tions. Devices are dangerous when used by inexperienced persons.
e) Handle the device with care. Check that the moving parts are working
perfectly and do not jam, that no parts are broken or damaged and that the
function of the device is not impaired. Have damaged parts repaired before
using the device. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained devices.
f) Use the device, accessories and insert tools etc. according to these instruc-
tions. Take the working conditions and activity being performed into
consideration. The use of devices for purposes for which they are not intended
can lead to dangerous situations.
g) Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and
gripping surfaces prevent safe handling and control of the device in unforeseeable
situations.
4) Service
a) Have your device repaired only by qualifi ed technical personnel and only
with genuine spare parts. This ensures that the safety of the device is main-
tained.

WARNING
Read all the safety notes, instructions, illustrations and technical data which
come with this device. Failure to heed the following instructions can lead to elec-
tric shock, fi re and/or severe injuries.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
● Avoid mechanical stress to the device. Do not shake or drop this device.
Pressure and similar mechanical stresses on the display can damage the device.
● Only use the device in the specifi ed temperature range and protect the
device against direct sunlight and heating appliances. The device could be
damaged.
● Protect the device against moisture; only the camera head and the camera
cable are water-proof. The device could be damaged.
● Do not remove the SD-card whilst saving photos/videos or during data
transfer to the PC. Data could be lost and the SD-card damaged.
● Do not look directly into the camera lens or into the LEDs next to it. There
is a danger of blinding.
● The push cable is fl exible but has a high mechanical tension when it is
pulled out of the cable reel or hasp or pushed round a narrow bend. Take
care when pulling the push cable from the cable reel or hasp or feeding it
back into the cable reel or hasp. The push cable is spring loaded and can
recoil. Therefore always place one foot on the tubular frame base of the hasp or
hold the cable reel tightly with one hand and always hold the push cable fi rmly
in the other hand.
● Do not pull the push cable out of the tube by force. There is a risk of injury.
● Do not bend the push cable. The push cable could break.
● Do not pull or push the push cable over sharp edges or sharp tube ends.
The push cable could be damaged.
● For cleaning the cable set, e.g. with a water jet, remove the push cable from
the cable reel or hasp and disconnect the connecting cable to the controller
unit. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner! Only clean the hasp with a damp
cloth. The device could otherwise be damaged.
● Do not insert the camera head with colour camera (Fig. 4 and 5 (23)) into
bodily orifi ces of humans or animals. There is a risk of injury.
● Do not use the device if it is damaged. There is a danger of accident.
● Never let the device operate unattended. Switch off the device during longer
work breaks, pull out the mains plug and remove all plugs if necessary.
Electrical devices can cause hazards which lead to material damage or injury
when left unattended.
● Children and persons who, due to their physical, sensory or mental abilities
or lack of experience and knowledge are unable to operate the device safely
may not use this device without supervision or instruction by a responsible
person. Otherwise there is a risk of operating errors and injuries.
● Only allow trained persons to use the device. Apprentices may only operate
the device when they are older than 16, when this is necessary for their training
and under the supervision of a trained operative.
● Check the connecting cable of the device and extension leads regularly for
damage. Have these renewed by qualifi ed experts or an authorised REMS
customer service workshop in case of damage.
