DANGER: Correct operation of the Mobifor
anchor system for fall-arrest purposes is only guarantied
provided the 16 weights are in place and correctly
positioned. If one or several of the weights are laterally or
vertically offset, the installation must be redone.
DANGER: It is prohibited to place an interface
between
the
seating
22 kg weights and the waterproofing surface. The
seating surface of the weights is specially designed to
ensure optimum adherence on the water proofing types
specified in §7.1.
DANGER: Once installed, check that the
circumscribed area (fig. 2, So) of the Mobifor anchor
system is located at least 2.5 m from the edge of the
terrace roof.
9. Using the system
All persons using the Mobifor anchor system must be
physically able to perform work at heights and must
have received the necessary training prior to use as
required by this manual, with demonstration under risk-
free conditions using the associated PPE equipment.
The method for connecting and disconnecting from the
deadman anchor point must be carefully explained and
all necessary measures must be taken to ensure that
the user has correctly understood the connection and
disconnection method. The PPE connector carabiner is
described in figure 6 in which the carabiner is shown in
position 1 (open) for installation and in position 2
(closed) on the attachment point. For operator safety,
the knurled locking nut should be fully screwed in once
connected. Use of a wire connector compatible with the
attachment point ring is essential. The Mobifor anchor
system must only be used for fall protection for one
person only, and must never be used as a suspension
point. This system must only be used with CE certified
PPE compliant with all applicable regulations and
standards. A complete fall-arrest harness is the only
operator harnessing system acceptable for use with a
Mobifor anchor system.
The Mobifor anchor system must never be used beyond
its limits as indicated in this manual.
Before using the anchor system, make sure of the
following:
• The 4 weight-holder arms (fig. 1, item 1) are
equipped with four 22 kg concrete weights each
(fig. 1, item 1) for a total of 16 weights.
22

• There is no visible offset between the weights,
horizontally or vertically.
• None of the concrete weights show any broken
corners greater than 5 cm (fig. 4).
• The length of the shock-absorber is less than
200 mm (fig. 4).
• The circumscribed area of the Mobifor anchor
system is located at least 2.5 m from the terrace roof
edge (fig. 4).
• The slope of the roof is less than 5° (fig. 4).
• The atmospheric conditions do not show any risk of
frost.
• No freezing temperature conditions are present.
In the event of an anomaly or damage observed on the
anchor system, it should immediately be removed from
the area and repaired by a qualified technician.
The person in charge of use of the Mobifor anchor
system must provide for an operator rescue procedure
should an operator fall and for all other emergency
circumstances to allow evacuation of the operator
under conditions compatible with the operator's health
and safety. All operators should be equipped with a
mobile phone with an emergency number to be called if
necessary.
IMPORTANT: The operator must not, at any
time, be disconnected from the Mobifor anchor system
when working in an area where there is a risk of falling.
In particular, when the operator passes from one
anchor point to another, a pair of lanyards (or double
lanyard) should be attached at all times to the
operator's fall-arrest harness, with one of the lanyards
remaining available, and connected to the attachment
point of the second anchor point before disconnecting
the other lanyard from the first attachment point of the
preceding anchor point.
When the Mobifor anchor system has been subjected to
an operator fall, the entire anchor system and the PPE
concerned by the fall must be inspected before they are
returned to service by a technician qualified for this
purpose.
10. Dismantling
Prior to any dismantling procedure, the installer must
check the following:
• All the conditions ensuring safety during the
dismantling procedure as required by the applicable
regulations must be present.
• The Mobifor anchor system must not be in use or
likely to be used by an operator (installation of multi-
anchor system).
• Identify a location where the weights can be stored
under conditions where they can be placed in a
stable position and where no damage will occur to
the support on which the weights are placed.
