3. The weight-holder arms and the central structure do
not show any signs of significant deformation and/or
corrosion.
4. All the products associated to the anchor system are
used in strict observance of the requirements
detailed in their respective manuals.
5. The Mobifor anchor system has undergone a
periodic inspection within the past 12 months
6. The drop height (fig. 4, T) is greater than 4 m.
DANGER: If any anomaly is observed during
these checks, the Mobifor anchor system must be
removed from service and confined to prevent any use
until it has been repaired by a skilled and qualified
technician (see § 11-4).
8.3 Installation
Depending on the type of waterproofing on the terrace
roof, the installer must proceed as follows:
8.3.1 For asphalt and gravel waterproofing
Step 1:
Clear the terrace roof over an area around the anchor
system equivalent to the area Sg (fig. 2).
Step 2:
Clean the area cleared using appropriate means.
Once the area has been cleaned, the surface should be
free of any soiling such as dust, oil, grease, mildew,
algae, moss, leaves or other.
Step 3:
Installing the anchor system (fig. 5).
3.1 Installing the galvanised steel central structure
(fig. 1, item 3):
This structure is equipped with 4 base pads Sp (fig. 3)
desi gned to prevent any damage to the roof
waterproofing. The installer should set the structure
gently on the ground and avoid walking on it or setting
any of the weights on the central structure as this could
result in damage to the roof water proofing.
3.2 Installing the 4 galvanised steel weight-holders
(fig. 1, item 2):
1. Take one arm by its folded end and insert the
straight end of the arm into one of the four
rectangular holes of the central structure. Then,
insert it in the rectangular hole located at the
lower part of the central post (fig. 5, items 1 and
2).
2. Set the arm on the ground taking care to insert
the locking pin of the central structure in the hole
of the weigh-holder arm (fig. 5, item 3).
3. The first weight-holder arm is now installed.
4. Proceed in the same way for the three other
weight-holder arms (fig. 5, item 4).
3.3 Installing the four 22 kg central concrete weights:
IMPORTANT: Before installing the concrete
weights on the arms, the installer must make sure that
the seating area of the weight Sm (fig. 3) does not have
any sharp edges, or show any damage or carry any
foreign matter which could result in damage to the roof
waterproofing.
5. Grab a weight by two hands at the recesses and
place it on the first arm, taking care to place the arm
in the slot of the weight provided for this purpose
(fig. 5, item 5).
6. Slightly lift the central structure until the arm is abut
with the bottom of the weight slot and slide the
weight to bring it abut against the folded lug on the
central structure (fig. 5, items 6 and 7).
7. The first central weight is now in place.
8. Proceed in the same way for the other three
weights.
➪ The four central weights are now in place (fig. 5,
item 8).
3.4 Installing the four 22 kg outer concrete weights :
9. Grab a first weight by two hands at the recesses
and place it on the first arm, taking care to place the
arm in the slot of the weight provided for this
purpose (fig. 5, item 9).
10. Slightly raise the folded end of the weight-holder
arm until the arm is abut with the bottom of the
weight slot and slide the weight to bring it abut
against the inside face of the folded end of the arm
(fig. 5, items 10 and 11).
11. The first outer weight is now in place.
12. Proceed in the same way for the other three
weights.
➪ The four outer weights are now in place (fig. 5,
item 12).
3.5 Installing the 8 remaining 22 kg concrete weights:
13. Grab a first weight by two hands at the recesses
and place it on the first arm, taking care to place the
arm in the slot of the weight provided for this
purpose (fig. 5, item 13).
14. Slide the weight to bring it abut against the central
weight (fig. 5, item 14).
15. Place the fourth weight of the arm in the remaining
space.
➪ The first arm is now equipped with its four weights
(fig. 5, item 15).
16. Proceed in the same way for the other three arms.
➪ The Mobifor anchor system is now installed and
ready to use (fig. 5, item 16).
Step 4:
Arrange the gravel around the anchor point.
➪ The Mobifor anchor system is now installed on the
asphalt and gravel roof.
