Checking the End Limit Setting

To check the end limit setting the sunshade/awning can now be extended with the EXTEND button until it switches off at the
programmed position. Now it can be drawn in again using the RETRACT button.
Note
BECKER tubular drives are designed for short-time operation (S2/KB 4 min). A fitted thermo protection switch
prevents overheating of the tubular drive. During commissioning (long drop distance or long running time),
triggering of the thermo switch may occur. The drive is then switched off. After a short cooling-down period,
the system is ready for operation again.
The drive will only reach the full duty cycle when it has cooled down to ambient temperature.
Avoid repeated actuation of the thermo protection switch.

Making a Permanent Connection to the Power Supply

Caution
Electrical work may only be performed by appropriately qualified staff.
The electrical connection is different from that of conventional tubular drives.
These tubular drives cannot be controlled with conventional switching devices (switches, timers).
They can only be radio-frequency operated by using the TouchControl.
Take the appropriate current consumptions into account when installing the drives (see Technical Data).
1. Make sure the mains supply is off.
2. Connect to the mains as follows:
Connect the green/yellow wire to the protective earth terminal PE, the blue wire to neutral and the black wire to L1 according
to rules. Leave the brown wire disconnected and insulate it to protect against electric shock (see Fig. 15).

3. Lay the motor cable, rising towards the motor, or make a loop.
4. Fix the motor cable so that it cannot project into the barrel space.
5. Switch on the mains supply.
6. If necessary, conduct a performance test. When triggering a movement
command for the first time keep the appropriate button pressed for up to 7
seconds.
7. Installation and commissioning are now completed.
Note
Power cables must always be 3-core.

Operation in Conjunction with the WindModul

If a WindModul is connected, the sunshade/awning system can monitor the
wind (see Operating Instructions for the WindModul). In the event of a wind
alarm the system draws in the awning and while the wind alarm is activated it
cannot be extended fully. To draw attention to a wind alarm, after an extension
command the drive extends 1/4 of a barrel revolution and retracts again.
