Secure the drive according to the type of awning bracket fastening with a
split-pin.
Note
When mounting the sunshade/awning drive always ensure that
the motor connection cable cannot be damaged when operat-
ing the system.
Cover any sharp edges, over which the cable is led, with appro-
priate protective tape. If the mains connection cable is dam-
aged, it may only be replaced by the manufacturer.
Putting the TouchControl Transmitter into Operation
The batteries are enclosed with the transmitter. Before initial use of the trans-
mitter you must insert the batteries as shown in Fig. 7. To do this, open the lid
of the battery compartment on the back.
Note
Incorrectly fitted batteries will not damage the wall transmitter,
but the transmitter will not function.
Battery type A23 e.g.: Duracell A23-3LR50 12V.
New and old batteries should not be used together.
The transmitter will also work with just one battery, but the
transmitting power will be smaller.
TouchControl transmits on radio frequency 40 MHz approved throughout Eu-
rope. The radio range in buildings is 25m. It is heavily dependent on the struc-
tural conditions. Thick walls and ceilings or those heavily reinforced with steel
can result in a reduced range. If another device in the immediate vicinity trans-
mits at the same time as the TouchControl, reciprocal interference may result.
If a radio command cannot be definitely detected, the integrated safety cutout
will reliably prevent malfunctions and suppress execution of the command.
Fitting the wall transmitter
An unfavourably selected installation position can result in reduced range.
Therefore, after the sunshade drive has been securely connected to the inte-
rior installation, please check that the TouchControl and the drive function
perfectly in the desired installation position.
Remove the TouchControl by pulling the bottom end out of the wall mounting.
The mounting is secured to the wall with two screws.
