The Tractel® winch may not be used to lower or raise an operator.
The Tractel® work winch is suitable for handling and securing loads with an SWL of up to 500 lbs
(225 kg).

5. Installation

When the Davimast™ is fitted with a base plate attached to the structure, do not use the
Davimast™ if there is any doubt about the quality or type of supporting structure or base plate
fasteners.

5.1. Installing the Davimast™

The operator must first be protected from the risk of falling before any installation work.
The Davimast™ may only be installed on Tractel® Davitrac™, Davitrac™+ and Davimast™
permanent base.
Setting up the Davimast™ on the base plate (see page 3 fig. 3):
Install the Davimast™ (M) in a Tractel® base plate; and
Depending on the base plate, fit the mast rotation lock pin (P) and secure with the locking pin.
The Davimast™ is in place, ready to receive a bracket; see 5.3.

5.2. Dismantling the Davimast™

The operator must first be protected from the risk of falling before any dismantling work.
To disconnect the Davimast™ from its base plate, remove the Davimast™ bracket, then:
Depending on the base plate, remove the locking pin and the rotation lock pin, and
Remove the davimast (M) from the Tractel® base plate. See page 3 fig. 3.
The Davimast™ is ready to be transported.

5.3. Installing a bracket on the Davimast™

The Davimast™ must be equipped on the mast with one of the following brackets: Blocfor® bi-
directional retrieval lifeline, Tractel work winch or 310 lbs (140 kg) PPE double anchor with 360°
rotation.
Once the Davimast™ is in place:
1)
Install the bracket on the Davimast™ mast (see page 4 fig.4). Each bracket has a positioning
pin that prevents the chosen system from being set up incorrectly. Each bracket must be fixed
with the two pins connected to the bracket. This does not apply the double anchor point
bracket which is equipped with only one pin; and
2)
Lock the bracket with the pin and locking pins attached to the bracket (see page 4 fig. 4).
It is strictly forbidden to modify the anchoring brackets supplied with the system in any way.
The Davimast™ is ready to be used.
