"Full body harness": Device worn around the body for fall protection. It consists of straps and
buckles. It features fall protection attachment points marked with an A if they may be used alone,
or marked with A/2 if they are to be used in combination with another A/2 point. It complies with
standard ANSI Z359.18-2017 and CSA Z259.15-17.
"Self-retracting fall protection": Fall protection with an automatic locking function and a tensioning
and self- retracting system.
"Self-retracting lifeline": Connecting element of a self-retracting fall protection system. It may be
made of metal cable, strapping or synthetic fibre depending on the type of device.
"Maximum operator weight": maximum weight of the clothed operator, wearing PPE and workwear
and carrying the tools and parts required for job.
"Safe working load": maximum allowed lifting load of an equipment.
"Fall-arrest system": Assembly made up of the following items:
– Anchoring device.
– Linking component.
– Fall protection.
– Full body harness.

3. Operations

3.1. Verifications before use

Before any installation work, the installer must have read and understood this manual.
Before inserting the Davimast™ in a Tractel® Davitrac™, Davitrac™+ and Davimast™ base, check
that:
•
The product marking is present and legible;
•
The product is in a visibly good condition, free from marks, impacts or deformation. If not, do
not use it and inform the supervisor;
•
The Davimast™ base is a Tractel® Davitrac™, Davitrac™+ and Davimast™ base and that it
is in good condition and adequately installed to the structure. It must be cleaned thoroughly
on the inside and must not be deformed;
