4.1. Davimast™ with its different bases
There are 4 base models (see page 3 – fig. 2):
•
Floor mounted base
•
Flush floor base
•
Wall mounted base
•
Clearance mural base
4.2. Recommendation for use
Under no circumstances may the floor mounted, wall mounted and clearance mural bases be
used as fall arrest anchor points when the Davimast™ is installed inside one of them. It is
imperative that once the Davimast™ is installed and locked into one of the mentioned permanent
bases, the only anchor points allowed are those on the Davimast™ bracket.
Each of these anchor points are identified by a label that mentions its only possible and permitted
use: it is crucial to follow the instructions on such labels.
Davimast™ is not designed and intended for platform suspension application.
4.2.1. Davimast™ with PPE double anchor bracket
The Davimast™ is designed to receive a 310 lbs (140 kg) PPE double anchor point bracket with
360° rotation for:
•
Two operators each weighing 310 lbs (140 kg);
•
A temporary lifeline with an impact in case of a fall not exceeding 1300 lbs (6kN) at the end
and with a minimum anchor breaking strength of 2600 lbs (12 kN) (page 6 fig. 6).
This assembly (base, Davimast™ and bracket) meets the requirements of:
•
ANSI Z359.1-2007; ANSI A10.32-2004; OSHA 1926;
•
Is manufactured in accordance with CSA Z259.13-2004.
4.2.2. Davimast™ with Blocfor® bi-directional retrieval lifeline and bracket
The Davimast™ is designed to receive a blocfor® bi-directional retrieval lifeline and bracket fitted
with:
•
A Blocfor® R with a lifting rescue device 50 ft or 100 ft (15 m or 30m); and
•
A 310lbs (140 kg) PPE anchor.
This assembly (base, Davimast™, bracket and Blocfor®):
•
meets or exceeds standards and requirements established by ANSI Z359.1-2007 & A10.32-
2004; OSHA 1910 & 1926;
•
Is manufactured in accordance with CSA Z259.13-2004 & Z259.16-2004
