2. ADJUSTING THE DIAMETER OF THE GRAFT CUT (ON CHAMBERS "ALTK+ONE" AND "ALTK+CBM-
ALTK")
1. Position the adjustment ring on the chamber cover, with
the marking arrows "+" and "-" (T) upwards, and screw
it down fully.
2. Position the desired cutting lens (U).
3. Check the cut surface. The cut region corresponds to
the internal limit of the reticle.
4. Adjust the cut surface to the desired diameter. By
turning the adjustment ring clockwise, the cut surface
increases ("+" arrow on the top face of the ring). By
turning the adjustment ring counterclockwise, the cut
surface decreases ("-" arrow on the top face of the ring).
When you have obtained the desired diameter, remove
the cutting lens.
5. Position the guide ring on the chamber cover (V
example of an «ALTK+ONE" chamber cover). Keep it in
position by pressing down on it and secure it using the
locking screw.
The system is now ready for cutting with the
microkeratome.

3. "DONOR" GRAFT CUT WITH THE MICROKERATOME

1. Insert the microkeratome into the slide and begin to
cut. Advance it using a steady movement and maintain
the movement until the microkeratome comes exits the
slide on the other side (W: chamber ALTK+ONE).
2. Remove the cutting lens from the head of the
microkeratome using small toothless pliers (X: chamber
ALTK+ONE).
Note: Chamber cover version CBM-ALTK #19172 (without guide ring)
This version allows you to cut a maximum diameter graft without first needing to adjust it. After positioning
the chamber cover on the base, the procedure can begin directly with the graft cut. Insert the CBM-ALTK
head into the slide and begin to cut. Advance it using a steady movement and maintain the movement until
the CBM-ALTK head exits the slide on the other side. You must obtain a complete resection. Gently remove
the cutting lens from the CBM-ALTK head using small toothless pliers.

PRECAUTIONS
Be careful to tighten only finger-tight.
The lenses supplied with the ONE microkeratome can also
be used instead of ALTK lenses. To do so, you must put in
place the ONE guide ring #19164.
The lenses supplied with the CBM microkeratome can also
be used instead of ALTK lenses. To do so, you must put in
place the CBM-ALTK guide ring #19171.
WARNING
DO NOT CHANGE THE POSITION OF THE
ADJUSTMENT RING AFTERWARD!
Make sure that the guide ring and the chamber cover are
properly in contact and parallel in order to obtain the correct
cut thickness and diameter.
If the guide ring is incorrectly positioned, the
thickness and diameter of the cut can change.
PRECAUTIONS
For chamber ALTK+ONE: make sure that the stop is
removed from the «ONE» microkeratome, as you want to
obtain a complete resection.
For chamber ALTK+CBM-ALTK: The heads of the CBM-
ALTK microkeratome do not have any hinge stops so as to
obtain a complete resection. These heads must under no
circumstances be used for a LASIK procedure.
