V. TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not function properly, check for any obvious faults.
If there is a leaking during irrigation, check the state of the tubing and replace it if necessary.
Check that the tubing is properly in place, from the Luer connector to the end of the tube inserted
in the elbow under the chamber.
If there is a problem securing the guide ring on the chamber cover, check the state of the screw
threads.
If the guide rings stick in the slides, check for any deposit or obstruction in these slides.
VI. CLEANING AND STERILIZATION
Recommendations for cleaning, disinfection and sterilization are updated and available on the Moria website:
http://www.moria-surgical.com.
For cleaning and sterilization recommendations for the console, microkeratomes, and their accessories,
please see the corresponding user guides.
WARNING: The following information is provided as recommendations. They must be adapted to
suit the laws in force in the country of use. Products, in particular for cleaning and disinfecting, must
be used according to the product manufacturer's instructions.

1. DISASSEMBLY

All parts of the device must be disassembled before disinfecting and cleaning (the chamber, chamber cover
and guide ring must be treated separately).
Please refer to the instructions below for how to disassemble the artificial chamber:
Unscrew the guide ring locking screw (1/2 turn) (Y) and pull out the guide ring (Z).
Unscrew the diameter adjustment ring from the chamber (AA & AB).
Turn the graft clamping ring counterclockwise until you feel resistance (AC). Do not force it.
While you are doing this, you can see at the top of the chamber the central piston descending.
When you feel resistance, the central piston has reached its bottom position. Move the piston back
to middle position so as not to block the system.
Turn the chamber cover about 15° until you can free the bayonet and lift off the chamber cover
(AD & AE). The chamber is now disassembled. The other parts that make up the base should not
be disassembled.

2. DISINFECTION

All parts of the device must be immersed immediately upon being taken out of the block in a non-aldehyde
detergent-disinfectant solution for a minimum of 15 minutes, in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
The base of the artificial chamber must be ventilated and rinsed several times with decontaminant fluid and
make sure that no foreign substances remain.
