Onto this common base (E) three types of artificial chamber can be mounted:
the "ONE" type chamber, to be used with the ONE microkeratome: Assemble the universal
chamber cover #19162 + «ONE» guide ring #19164.
the "CBM-ALTK" type chamber, to be used with the CBM microkeratome:
• Assemble either the universal chamber cover #19162 + "CBM-ALTK» guide ring #19171.
• or the CBM-ALTK chamber cover #19172 only, as the guide is incorporated in the chamber
cover.
3. CHAMBER COVERS FOR THE ARTIFICIAL CHAMBER
There are two types of design:
•
Chamber cover #19162 (F): This can be used to make a graft cut with "ONE" and "CBM-ALTK"
microkeratomes. You must use:
•
the guide ring #19164 with the "ONE" system (L),
•
the guide ring #19171 with the "CBM-ALTK" system (M).
In addition, this chamber cover allows you to set the diameter of the graft cut via an adjustment
ring.
•
Chamber cover #19172: This incorporates the CBM microkeratome "slide" (G) and pivot (H)
system. No guide ring is necessary.
This chamber cover can only be used with the CBM microkeratome. The graft cut is automatically
as large as possible. It is therefore necessary to use a trephine, as a second step, in order to adjust
the diameter of the graft cut on the eye of the recipient.
Mounting chamber covers on the base of the artificial chamber (the photos provided as an example show
chamber cover #19172).
The chamber covers ("ONE" and "CBM-ALTK" type) are placed on the base of the artificial chamber to
hold the graft (I). Turn clockwise (J). The three-pin bayonet system allows you to lock the chamber cover in
position (K).
4. GUIDE RINGS (NOT TO BE USED WITH UNIVERSAL CHAMBER COVER #19162)
There are two types of guide ring:
•
# 19164: type "ONE" for use with the ONE microkeratome (L)
•
# 19171: type "CBM-ALTK" for use with the CBM microkeratome (M).
The locking screw on the guide ring allows you to secure the chamber cover in place (N).
5. "ALTK" CUTTING LENSES
Two cutting lenses are available (O). They are used to check the diameter of the punch that will be made on
the graft.
•
Lens #19165 indicates 7mm, 9mm and 11mm diameters,
•
Lens #19166 indicates 6mm, 8mm and 10mm diameters.
