Assembling the nozzle holder, nozzle and
nozzle filter
Note:
Use only original parts (nozzles, holders, filters).
1.
Lock the trigger lock and move the ventilation/pres-
sure relief valve to the up position to relieve the pres-
sure.
2. Install the filter on the nozzle holder.
Note:
The holder has a left-handed thread. To install the filter
turn it anticlockwise. To remove it, turn it clockwise.
Note:
Make sure that the filter is fully screwed into the nozzle
holder to avoid damage to the filter. Do not use damaged
filters to avoid poor spray gun performance.
3. Screw the nozzle holder onto the spray gun. Tighten
the nut until it is firmly fastened on the spray gun. Tigh-
ten the nut hand tight.
Note:
The nozzle is permanently attached to the nozzle holder.
Do not remove it to avoid damage.

Spaying technique
Perform spraying tests with various settings (on a piece
of cardboard) before you start painting the workpiece.
Direct the spray device straight at the target surface from
a distance of approx. 25 cm. Angling the device to chan-
ge the direction of spray will cause uneven application.
Even application
25 cm
Angle your wrist to keep the spray gun straight. Waving
with the device to change the direction of spray will cau-
se uneven application.
Even application
Note:
The speed at which you move the spray gun influences
the coating characteristic. If the spray jet pulses, you are
moving the device to fast. If the material drips, you are
moving the device too slowly. See troubleshooting on
page 25 and following.
Spraying
Pull the trigger after you start the movement. Release
the trigger before you end the movement. The spray gun
must be moving when you pull and release the trigger.
