• Wear anti-vibration gloves when
working for long periods. Prolonged
working with vibrating tools may lead to
circulation problems and neurological
conditions (vibration white finger/
Raynaud's syndrome).
• When sanding paint with lead
content and certain types of wood,
metal etc. harmful/poisonous/
carcinogenic dust may be released.
Touching or inhaling the dust poses
a risk to the operator and any

bystanders. For this reason, an
extraction device should always be
fitted. Appropriate personal
protective gear should therefore be
worn, including breathing protection.
• Keep children and bystanders away
while operating power tools.
• Prevent unintentional starting. Make
sure the power tool is switched off
before connecting it to the power
supply, picking it up or carrying it.
Serious accidents can happen if your
finger is on the main switch, or if the
tool is already switched on when you
plug it in.
• Always pull the plug out of the power
socket before carrying out adjustments
to the tool. This precaution prevents
the machine from starting accidentally.
• Never allow persons to operate the
machine who are not familiar with it or
who have not read these instructions.
• Do not operate the tool in harsh
environments (e.g. explosive
atmospheres, high buildings, damp
conditions.
