4.1.4. Accessory connections

Accessory terminals for:
•
external capacitor;
•
self-excitation in case of auxiliary supply shunted from the power supply and machine with low residual
magnetism.

Connections
If the following conditions are both met:
•
auxiliary supply shunted from the power supply,
•
residual magnetism voltage at terminal P1-P2(-P3)
lower than 20Vac,
short-circuit with a jumper the terminals:
•
LR and CP+
•
C1 and M
Under these conditions, therefore, the physical START
contact cannot be freely used to enable the excitation state,
as C1 and M must be constantly connected by a jumper.
NOTE: it is supposed that START digital input is
assigned to terminals C1-M (default setting). Anyway,
what described applies to any physical input contact is
assigned to START.
IMPORTANT NOTE: never apply the LR – CP+ jumper in
case of separate power supply; this could result in a
failure of D-Vo and/or of other devices connected to it.
Connection to external capacitor.
Requirements:
1000μF, 450V
Minimum voltage: ≥ 450 V
Temperature range: -40 ~ 85 °C
Operating life time at 85 °C: > 5000h
