The­specified­vibration­emission­
value can also be used for an intro­
ductory­evaluation­of­the­influence.
CAUTION! The vibration emis­
sion value may fluctuate from
the specified value during use of
the power tool. These fluctuations
will depend on the way in which
the power tool is used.
Try to keep the vibration loads as
low as possible. Examples of meas­
ures that may be taken to reduce
the vibration load include wearing
gloves when using the tool and lim­
iting the length of the working peri­
od. All parts of the operating cycle
must be taken into account for this
purpose (for example, by also
including times in which the power
tool is switched off and times in
which it is switched on, but is run­
ning without load).
CAUTION! A certain amount
of noise is unavoidable when
using this device. Ensure you
carry out noise­intensive work
during permitted times. Maintain
the quiet periods and limit your
work to the absolute minimum.
CAUTION! The effects of
noise may cause damage to
the hearing. Only ever work with
suitable ear defenders. Anybody
else in the vicinity should thus
also wear ear defenders.
7 – Unpacking and checking
1. Remove the packaging materials
and all protective foils.
2. Pay attention to ensure that the
packaging material and foils do

not enter the hands of children.
Risk­of­suffocation!­
3. Check the machine and accesso­
ries for completeness and for any
visible damages. In the event of
any kind of damage, do not start
to use the machine.
8 – Charging the rechargea­
ble battery
CAUTION! The rechargeable
battery of type MAS18MZ­AP
belonging to this cordless drill/
screwdriver MAS18MZ may only be
charged using the charger type
XZ2200­2400K. Any use of any other
charger or the use of charger type
XZ2200­2400K connected to a
power supply other than the one
listed on the type plate may lead to
personal injury and damages.
Removing the rechargeable bat­
tery (Figure 2)
Press the battery unlock button (8)
and pull the battery pack (7) out
battery holder (9).
Inserting the battery pack
(Figure 2)
Slide the rechargeable battery (7) as
far as it will go into the battery hold­
er (9) and allow it to click into place.
Charging the battery pack
(Figure 3)
CAUTION! The rechargeable
battery is not completely
charged when it leaves the facto­
ry. Charge the battery pack before
using for the first time.
