7 – Installation and setting
Mounting of auxiliary handle (Fig. 2)
The auxiliary handle (8) may be mounted
either on the right or left side of the
chuck. Detach the handle element (a) on
the auxiliary handle (8) by rotating it
anti-clockwise until it can be pushed
over the chuck (10) and onto the collar
(b). The catch cam (c) lock in one of the
grooves (d) and prevents the vibration-
caused movement of the handle. This
allows you to select a comfortable
working position. Tighten the handle by
rotating clockwise until the auxiliary
handle is securely attached to the
power tool.
Inserting the drill
The machine has a quick-action chuck
that enables tools to be changed by
hand without using a tool.
Hold the machine by the rear chuck
ring.
Open the chuck by rotating the front
ring anti-clockwise. Insert the drill and
rotate clockwise on the front ring to
secure.
Setting the depth stop (Fig. 3)
• Open the depth stop (e) guide by
rotating the wing screw (11) anti-
clockwise.
• Insert the depth stop (9) inside the
guide (e). Meaning of the symbols
• Using the scale (f) of the depth stop (9),
read off the respective value and
deduct the desired drilling depth from
this value.

• Set the new value by adjusting the
depth stop and read off at point (e).
• Then secure the depth stop by
rotating the wing screw (11)
clockwise.
Revolution pre-selection
CAUTION! Unplug from the
power source!
The rotation speed pre-selection
function enables the motor
rotation speed to be adapted to
the respective insert tool and material
(Fig. 4).
• Rotate the rotation speed regulator (a)
on the On/Off switch (6) in the (–)
direction: The maximum rotation
speed of the power tool is reduced.
• Rotate the rotation speed regulator in
the (+) direction: The motor rotation
speed is increased.
The On/Off switch can be used to
infinitely vary the rotation speed of the
power tool within the selected maximum
rotation speed.
Depending on the pressure on the
On/Off switch, the rotation speed is
increased (more pressure) or decreased
(less pressure).
Right or left (clockwise or anti-
clockwise) rotation
Setting according to the figure,
with the machine at standstill
