• T he specified overall vibration value
and noise emission value have been
calculated pursuant to a standardised
testing method, and can be used to
compare one power tool with anoth-
er.
• T he specified overall vibration value
and noise emission value can also be
used to carry out a preliminary expo-
sure assessment.
WARNING! Vibration and noise
emissions during actual use of the
power tool may differ from the values
given depending on the manner in
which the power tool is used, in par-
ticular the type of work piece being
machined.
• S afety measures must be taken in
order to protect the operator. As a
result, the evaluation of the influence
must be made whilst taking account
of the actual conditions of use. (All
parts of the operating cycle must be
taken into account for this purpose.
This also includes times in which the
power tool is switched off and times
in which it is switched on, but is run
ning without load.)
• I s the power tool used correctly?
• I s the correct type of material pro-
cessed?
• I s the power tool in proper working
order?
• A re the handles or optional vibration
handles mounted and fixed securely
against the body of the power tool?
If you sense an unpleasant feeling or
your skin changes colour when you
are using the power tool, stop working
40
immediately and take a break. Take suf-

ficient breaks. If you do not take suffi-
cient breaks, this may cause a hand-arm
vibration syndrome.
The loading level experienced in con-
junction with the work or use of the
power tool should be estimated and
appropriate breaks taken. This method
can be used to considerably minimise
the level of load during the entire work-
ing time. Minimise risks in which you
are exposed to vibrations. Service this
power tool in accordance with the infor-
mation in the operating instructions.
If the power tool is to be used frequent-
ly, contact your dealer and procure
anti-vibration equipment (handles) if
necessary.
Avoid using the power tool at ambient
temperatures of t = 10 °C or lower.
Draw up a work schedule that can be
used to minimise vibration load.
Information about minimising noise
A certain amount of noise is unavoidable
when using this power tool. Ensure you
carry out noise-intensive work during
permitted times. Maintain the quiet peri-
ods and limit your work to the absolute
minimum. For the sake of your personal
protection and that of the persons around,
suitable ear protection should be worn.
