Explosion protection

The self adaptation set MKEN-1094 is used to control the gas stations with vapor
recovery and to adjust the Bürkert control. Only the gas meter is located in a
hazardous location if the self adaptation set is used properly (Figure 12).

The current circuit from the hand held terminal to the gas meter is intrinsic safety
due to the fitted safety barrier. Therefore it can be used in the hazardous area
zone 1.

Operating Instructions No. 893 193
Due to safety reasons, the gas meter must be connected
before the nozzle. We do not accept any liability for damage as
a consequence of incorrect connection of the flow meter.
Note:
In order to ensure a long service life of the gas meter, gasoline
must not enter the gas meter under any circumstances.
