7 – Installation and setting
Mounting the sanding head (Figure 2)
CAUTION! Unplug from the
power source!
Have the sanding head (11) ready in
such a way that the belt stopper surface
(9) points downwards towards the work
piece. Fit the spiral spring (16) into the
groove (a) and (b).
Put the groove (c) at the rear end of
the sanding head onto the spring (d) at
the sanding head holder (8). With the
assembly/adjustment screw (7) fit the
sanding head, through the screw holes
(e) and (f) fix to the sanding head holder.
Mounting the sanding belt (Figure 3)
CAUTION! Unplug from the
power source!
Push the tensioning lever(6) to position A.
Insert the sanding belt (12) at the rear
end of the sanding belt holder (13) and
use the front end to position it over the
roller guide (10) of the sanding head.
Push the tensioning lever to position (B)
to tension the sanding belt.
Remove the sanding belt in reverse order.
Adjusting the belt (Figure 4)
Connect to a power supply.
Switch the machine on (see Operation)
and set the band speed regulator (1) to
the lowest value 1. Observe the move-
ment of the belt.
If necessary, delicately adjust the
assembly/adjustment screw (7) forwards
or backwards until the sanding belt

operates smoothly and the roller guide
(10) is fully covered.
CAUTION! Ensure that the sand
ing belt is free of bends.
Dust collection bag (Figure 5)
• T he electrical tool has a mechanism
that enables you to collect or vacuum
the sanding dust.
• C lamp the dust collection bag
opening as far as it will go onto the
exhaust opening (14) on the housing.
Emptying the bag frequently increases
the exhaust performance.
CAUTION! Wood dust is danger
ous! Thus, always work with the
dust collection mechanism attached.
8 – Operation (Figure 6)
The connection values of the power
supply must correspond to the specifi-
cations on the type plate.
Connect the plug to a power supply.
Switching on
The machine has a 2 point security switch
to prevent it being turned on accidently.
Press and hold down the safety lock
(3). Only then is it possible to activate
the On/Off switch (4). The machine will
operate using the belt speed that has
been set.
Switching off
Release the safety lock (3) and the On/
Off switch (4) and wait until the machine
has come to a standstill.
