4.3.3 Wheel Support
The horizontal bead breaking disk wheel near and away
motion requires the Wheel Support to move lengthways
while the bead breaking disk support upright rotates.
The synchronised movement of the parts enables the
disks to operate on the rim border at an optimal level
always.
To use the Wheel Support correctly, proceed as follows::
•
Check that the machine is in Manual Mode.
WARNING: THESE OPERATIONS MAY BE
DANGEROUS SO OBSERVE THE SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS SET OUT ON THE PLATES.
Move near:
•
Activate the lever (3, Fig.4.1-2) to the right and hold
it there. The Wheel Support will move towards the
bead breaking disks (Fig.4.3-7) which will be
positioned according to the movement of the column
that supports them.
•
Release the command when the end stop is
reached.
Move away:
•
Activate the lever (3, Fig.4.1-2) to the left and hold
it there. The Wheel Support will move away from
the bead breaking disks (Fig.4.3-7), which will move
towards the operator.
•
Release the command when the end stop is
reached.
The Wheel Support includes a built-in Wheel Clamping
system powered by a hydraulic circuit and controlled
by the operator pedal.
Clamping:
•
Press and hold down the pedal (2, Fig.4.1-3) with
your foot. The hexagonal rod (1, Fig.4.3-8) will move
downwards.
•
Press and hold down the pedal (2, Fig.4.1-3) with
your foot again. The hexagonal rod (1, Fig.4.3-8)
will move up.
•
Release the command when the end stop is
reached.
Note: The command can be released in any position
and the operation will be interrupted.
Note: Every time the pedal is pressed, the rod
movement resumes from wherever it is,
but in the opposite direction.
