Installation Instructions
Pneumatic connection
PNEUMATIC INSTALLATION MUST BE
WARNING:
PERFORMED ONLY BY LICENSED PERSONNEL.
The
machine requires an air pressure of 8 to 12 bar
(110-170 psi), as marked on the plate of the machine
and on a sticker attached to the cabinet next to the air
inlet.
Ensure that the line pressure is within the limits required
by the machine.
If the air pressure is lower than the minimum required
of 8 bar (110psi) the lifting power and bead pusher power
may be insufficient for certain tires.
The rubber hose that connects the machine to the
compressed air supply line (1, Fig.iii-5) should have a
diameter of 8 mm. It should also be a suitable length,
i.e. it should not be too long as it will get in the way and
it should not be too short as this will cause tension.
Even though the machine itself has a filter, it is advisable
to fit a filter on the compressed air feed line to reduce
the quantity of air present in the line.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE COMPRESSED
AIR SUPPLY LINE DOES NOT EXCEED 12 BARS
WARNING: THE HOSE THAT CONNECTS THE
MACHINE TO THE COMPRESSED AIR SUPPLY LINE
SHOULD BE ABLE TO STAND A MAXIMUM
OPERATING PRESSURE OF 12 BARS
WARNING: BEFORE CONNECTING THE MACHINE TO
THE COMPRESSED AIR SUPPLY MAKE SURE THAT
NOTHING IS IN THE WORK AREA AND THAT ANYONE
STANDING NEAR THE MACHINE MOVES AWAY
After ensuring all the above proceed as follows:
• Check the oil level in the lubricator (2, Fig.iii-5).
Top up if necessary (see Maintenance chapter).
• Connect the machine to the compressed air supply
line (1, Fig.iii-5).
• Check that oil is fed out correctly from the lubricator
(see Maintenance chapter).
