•
Use the PULSE function for foods that require individual, powerful bursts of
blending, f.e. when chopping nuts or crushing ice cubes.
•
Your blender can crush a maximum of 8 – 10 ice cubes from a standard tray. Use
the PULSE button.
•
When preparing drinks with ice cubes or frozen fruit, you should repeatedly press
the PULSE button at short intervals.
•
Alternating between the PULSE function and another speed setting will deliver
optimal results when blending and chopping foods.
•
Thick mixtures will be mashed up more efficiently if the blender jug is only quar-
ter- or half-full.
•
Never use metal kitchen utensils or tools, they might damage or scratch the
blades and the blender jug.
•
Do not blend thick mixtures for more than 10 seconds. Even a normal
blending process should not take longer than 60 seconds. Should the
ingredients require a longer blending time, switch the blender off after
60 seconds, pull the plug, wait for the blades to come to a full stop and
and stir the ingredients by hand with a plastic spatula before restarting
the blender. This pause will prevent the motor from overloading.
•
This blender is not suited to kneading dough or pureeing resp. mashing pota-
toes.
•
Do not exceed 2 cups of food per run when processing warm ingredients in the
blender jug. Place a dishcloth on the lid to hold the lid by hand.
•
Never blend hot or boiling ingredients. They should always be handwarm
resp. cooled down to room temperature before being filled into the blender jug.
This is a safety measure to prevent hot steam from loosening and lifting the lid.
