Maintenance
7.1

Maintenance intervals

The specified intervals are Dräger recommendations. Differing
national guidelines must be complied with.
Refer to the relevant Instructions for Use of full facepiece,
ventilation unit, automatic switch over valve and self-contained
breathing apparatus.

Originally lead sealed chemical protective suits must
be first checked after five years. After this period or
when the seal is broken chemical protective suits must
be serviced in accordance with specified intervals.

Applies to chemical protective suits stored on vehicles without
carrier bag.
The interval is extended to two years for chemical protective suits
stored in suitable carrier bags.

Dräger recommends keeping a record of the
maintenance work (see Chapter 11 on Page 36).

7.2
The following examinations are mandatory: The chemical
protective Suit must be disposed of in case of defects.
7.3
7.3.1
1. If fitted, remove, clean and disinfect ventilation unit and

No holes, cuts or abrasions must be found on the outside
of the chemical protective Suit.
The seam tape must not become detached.
The visor seal must be undamaged and the visor itself must
be clean.
The gloves must be undamaged.
The zipper mechanism and its cover must be undamaged.
The suit valves must be free and undamaged.
The suit material must show no signs of abrasion (white
lines) or ozone damage (white chalky dots). The coating
must not become detached from the fabric.

Do not immerse antifog visor longer than 5 minutes in
the liquid, otherwise the antifog coating will come off.
