Operation
After Mowing
Put the cutting tool in its highest position and switch the mowing switch to OFF. Turn off the ignition, push the brake pedal all the
way down and secure it with the parking brake lever. Close the petrol shutoff.
Important
Always take out the ignition key before you leave the Trac. When it is not to be used for a long time, you should disconnect the
battery cable.
Maintenance
Cleaning
Warning
Before all cleaning or repair work, take out the ignition key. Always wear sturdy shoes and work gloves. Be wary of any fuel, oil
or other toxic substances squirting out. Each time after mowing, remove dirt and grass from the ejection tunnel and the grass-
catcher.
Washing the Trac
Proceed as follows:
1. Spray the Trac and the grass-catcher down with water. NOTE: Use the connections for washing the mowing blades.
2. Clean the ejection tunnel and the blades from below (Fig. B11).
3. Remove the grass-catcher and clean it from the inside. Allow to dry.
4. Clean the Trac plastic parts with a sponge and soapy water.
Important
Do not get water directly on the instrument panel, the switches or on the other electrical equipment.
Caution
Never clean the maintenance with a high-pressure cleaner or corrosive cleaning agents!
Maintenance of the Engine
Follow the servicing instructions in the Operating Instructions for the engine.
Changing the Engine Oil
The engine oil has to be changed after the first five hours of operation (see Maintenance Chart).
Oil Drain Connection Piece
Changing the Oil:
1. Put an oil collection container under the oil drain valve. Note: Jack up the Trac under the left-
hand wheels so that the old oil will flow better.
2. Turn the oil drain valve clockwise and pull it out. Note: Open the oil filler connection piece
to make the engine oil drain out easily.
3. Close the oil drain by pushing it back in and securing it clockwise.
4. Fill with SAE 30 or SAE 10W/30W oil.
5. Lock the oil intake connection piece.
6. Check the oil dipstick to see whether it is filled with enough oil (Fig. B1).
7. Used oil has to be disposed of according to regulations. Used oil must not get into the
ground.
