Troubleshooting
Problem
The patient is not positioned correctly in the sling.
The patient feels discomfort in the leg area when
seated in the sling.
It is dif cult to apply the clips.
It is dif cult to use the sling in combination with
the lift.
The position of the patient in the sling should be
more reclined or seated.
The patient wishes to have more support for the
back.
The patient feels discomfort in the waist area.
The sling is sliding up under the patient's arms.
The patient feels discomfort while using the sling.
The Flites is soiled, stained or wet.
The "Do NOT wash" label is damaged or missing
and the underlying red label "Do NOT use/lift"
appears.
Action
• Make sure the clip/lift cords are attached at the
right length.
• Make sure the straps are not twisted or that
there are no knots on the lift cords.
• Make sure the patient is positioned on the
inside of the sling. The outside has a label for
reference.
• Make sure the patient is centred in the sling.
• Make sure that there are no creases on the leg
aps of the sling.
• Make sure the leg aps are attached at the
right length.
Make sure the clip is not caught between the lug
on the lift and the clip attachment.
Use the sling only in accordance with the
combinations described in section "Allowed
Combinations" on page 6.
Use the clips/lift cords to adjust the patient's
position.
Use the inner clips for attachment or tighten the
lift cords to adjust the patient's position.
Adjust the support belt, tighten or loosen.
Tighten the support belt for a more comfortable t.
• Make sure the patient is holding on to the
handles on the lift.
• Adjust the support belt for a more comfortable
t.
Dispose the Flites and replace it with a new one.
