Removing the Sling

In Chair/Wheelchair (16 steps)

1. Apply the brakes on the wheelchair.
2. Add the foot support for the patient if he/she has
been practising walking.
3. Position the patient with his/her back against of the
chair/wheelchair. If needed, open up the chassis
legs on the Sara Plus lift.
4. Apply the brakes on the Sara Plus lift.

WARNING
To avoid injury to the patient, pay close
attention when lowering or adjusting the
spreader bar.
5. Lower the patient down into the chair/wheelchair.
See the Sara Plus IFU. (See Fig. 20 )
WARNING
To avoid the patient from falling, make sure
that the sling attachments are attached
securely before and during the lifting
process.

6. Make sure the patient's lower back is positioned all
the way in against the chair/wheelchair and that the
weight of the patient is taken up by the receiving
surface before removing the clip/loop.
7. Detach the sling clips from the Sara Plus lift, if
any. (See Fig. 3 )
8. Unlock the cords from the cleats (A). (See Fig. 21 )
9. Unlock and remove the cord from the sling loop.
(See Fig. 22 )
10. Remove the patient's feet from the foot support.
11. Release the brake on the Sara Plus lift.
12. Move the Sara Plus lift away from the patient.
13. Unbuckle the leg straps from the body straps, if
any. (See Fig. 23 )
14. Open up the support belt, if any. (See Fig. 24 )
15. Remove the leg fl aps, if any, from underneath the
patient's legs.
16. Lean the patient forward and remove the sling from
behind the patient.
