The canister is replaced on the basis of a visual check or according to the instructions on
the display (warning signal).

1. Prepare sterile canister (with/without solidifier).
2. Close patient tubing with the tube clamp.
3. 'Standby' (press for > 3 sec.)
Thopaz switches to the Standby mode.
4. Release and remove canister.
5. Unpack new canister, position into Thopaz
and snap in (Chapter VII).
6. Press 'on'. Pressure is built up.
7. Open the tube clamp.
8. Check flow value.
9. Seal the used canister with the sealing caps.
Only for canisters with solidifier:
a) Press – to open the
solidifier chamber.
10. Dispose of the used canister in accordance with internal hospital
guidelines.
