Legend
The product satisfies the relevant safety
standards.
Read instructions before use.
The product must be recycled.
WARNING! or CAUTION! or REMEMBER!
Applicable to the given situation (general warning
sign).
Electric shock warning.
CAUTION! Drawings in this manual are for
illustration purposes only and in some details it may
differ from the actual machine.
The original operation manual is in German. Other
language versions are translations from German.
2. USAGE SAFETY
ATTENTION! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in an electric shock, fire and/
or serious injury or even death.
The terms „device" or „product" are used in the warnings
and instructions to refer to the Parcel scale. Do not use in
very humid environments or in the direct vicinity of water
tanks. Prevent the device from getting wet. Risk of electric
shock! Do not cover the device venting holes.
2.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a)
The plug must fit the socket. Do not modify the
plug in any way. Using original plugs and matching
sockets reduces the risk of electric shock.
b)
Avoid touching grounded elements such as pipes,
heaters, boilers and fridges. There is an increased
risk of electric shock if your body is grounded on wet
surfaces or in a humid environment. Water ingression
into the device increases the risk of damage to the
device and of electric shock.
c)
Do not touch the device with wet or damp hands.
d)
Use the cable only in accordance with its designated
use. Never use it to carry the device or to pull the
plug out of a socket. Keep the cable away from heat
sources, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged
or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
e)
If working with the device outside, make sure to use
an extension cord suitable for external use. Using an
extension cord suitable for external use reduces the
risk of electric shock.
f)
If using the device in a humid environment cannot
be avoided, a residual current device (RCD) should
be applied. The use of an RCD reduces the risk of
electric shock.
2.2. SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
a)
Upon discovering damage or irregular operation,
immediately switch the device off and report it to
a supervisor without delay.
b)
If there are any doubts as to the correct operation
of the device, contact the manufacturer's support
service.
c)
Only the manufacturer's service point may repair the
device. Do not attempt any repairs independently!
d)
If a fire starts, use solely powder or carbon dioxide
(CO2) fire extinguishers suitable for use on live
devices to put it out (in case the device is connected
to the mains by means of the power supply).
e)
Save the instructions for use for further reference.
If the device is transferred to a third party, the
instruction for its use shall be transferred as well.
2.3. PERSONAL SAFETY
a)
The device is not designed to be handled by persons
(including children) with limited mental and sensory
functions or persons lacking relevant experience
and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by
a person responsible for their safety or they have
received instructions on how to operate the device.
2.4. SAFE USE OF THE DEVICE
a)
Do not use the device if the ON/OFF switch does not
function properly (does not switch the device on and
off). Devices which cannot be switched on and off
using the ON/OFF switch are hazardous, should not
be operated and must be repaired.
b)
When not in use, store in a safe place, away from
children and people not familiar with the device, who
have not read the user manual. The device may pose
a hazard in the hands of inexperienced users.

Rev. 10.06.2019
c)
Device repair or maintenance should be carried out
by qualified persons, only using original spare parts.
This will ensure safe use.
d)
To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory fitted guards and do not loosen
any screws.
e)
Clean the device regularly to avoid a durable
encrustation of dirt.
f)
Do not drop or throw objects on the device. The
objects to be weighed should be placed carefully on
the scale pan.
g)
Exceeding the maximum load of the scale can result
in device damage.
3. USE GUIDELINES
Parcel scale is designed to measure weight of elements
placed on the scale pan and to count the elements based

the technical details.
The scale can be used only in the environment where there
are no draughts, corrosion, vibrations, high temperature or
high humidity.
The control panel with the display can be hung
vertically or placed on a horizontal surface, as needed.
The scale pan shall be put on a horizontal, even, stable
and clean surface that can withstand the weight of the
device and the objects to be weighed.
