1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The user manual is designed to assist in the safe and
trouble-free use of the device. The product is designed
and manufactured in accordance with strict technical
guidelines,
using
state-of-the-art

USER MANUAL.
To increase the product life of the device and to ensure
a trouble-free operation, use it in accordance with this user
manual and regularly perform the maintenance tasks. The
technical data and specifications in this user manual are
up-to-date. The manufacturer reserves the right to make
changes associated with quality improvement.

2. USAGE SAFETY
ATTENTION! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in an electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury or even death.

2.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY

The plug must fit the socket. Do not modify the plug
in any way. Using original plugs and matching sockets
reduces the risk of electric shock.
b)
Do not touch the device with wet or damp hands.
c)
Use the cable only for its designated use. Never use it
to carry the device or to pull the plug out of a socket.
Keep the cable away from heat sources, oil, sharp

edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
d)
If using the device in a damp environment cannot be

avoided, a residual current device (RCD) should be
applied. The use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric
shock.
e)
Do not use the device if the power cord is damaged or
shows obvious signs of wear. A damaged power cord
should be replaced by a qualified electrician or the
manufacturer's service centre.

To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug
or device in water or other liquids. Do not use the
device on wet surfaces.
g)

2.2. SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
a)
Make sure the workplace is clean and well lit. A messy
or poorly lit workplace may lead to accidents. Try
to think ahead, observe what is going on and use
common sense when working with the device.
b)
If you are unsure about whether the product is
operating correctly or if you find damage, please
contact the manufacturer's service centre.
c)
Only the manufacturer's service centre may make
repairs to the product. Do not attempt to make repairs
yourself!
d)
In case of fire, use a powder or carbon dioxide (CO
fire extinguisher (one intended for use on live electrical
devices) to put it out.
e)
Please keep this manual available for future reference.
If this device is passed on to a third party, the manual
must be passed on with it.
f)
Keep packaging elements and small assembly parts in
a place not available to children.
2.3. PERSONAL SAFETY
a)
The device is not designed to be handled by persons
(including children) with limited mental and sensory
functions or persons lacking relevant experience and/
or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or they have received
instruction on how to operate the device.
b)
The device can be handled only by physically fit
persons who are capable of handling it, properly
trained, familiar with this manual and trained within
the scope of occupational health and safety.

c)
The device is not a toy. Children must be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the device.
2.4. SAFE DEVICE USE
a)
When not in use, store in a safe place, away from
children and people not familiar with the device who
have not read the user manual.
b)
Keep the device out of the reach of children.
c)
Device repair or maintenance should be carried out by
qualified persons, only using original spare parts. This
will ensure safe use.
d)
To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory-fitted guards and do not loosen
any screws.
e)
Clean the device regularly to prevent stubborn grime
from accumulating.
f)
The device is not a toy. Cleaning and maintenance may
not be carried out by children without supervision by
an adult person.
g)
It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of
the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
h)
Keep the device away from sources of fire and heat.
i)
Do not overload the device.
ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device
and its protective features, and despite the use of
additional elements protecting the operator, there is
still a slight risk of accident or injury when using the
device. Stay alert and use common sense when using
the device.
3. USE GUIDELINES
The device is used for precise weight measurement.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from
unintended use of the device.
3.1. DEVICE DESCRIPTION
The set consists of a large scale pan, a control panel with an
LCD display and a power cord. The device can be powered
by a cable or batteries.
3.2. DEVICE USE
3.2.1. CONTROL PANEL
1)
ON/OFF button - used to turn the device on or off

TARE button - used to tare; resets the counter
regardless of a product placed on the pan
3)
MODE button: used to change the measurement unit
)
4)
HOLD button (only for SBS-PT-50/1 model): used to

lock the reading value (the value will not disappear
from the display even though a product is removed
from the pan)
3.2.2. WEIGHTING
1.
Place the scale on an even, stable, dry and hard
surface, away from any hot surfaces and out of the
reach of children.
2.
Insert the batteries into the device or connect the
power cord and insert the plug into the socket.
3.
Press the ON/OFF button.
4.
Wait until the display shows „0".
5.
Put an object on the pan.
6.
Read the value after a few seconds when the
measurement is stabilized (press MODE to change
the unit).
CAUTION: The display may show the indicator:
„LO" - informs about a low battery level,
„O_Ld" - informs about overload.
3.2.3. CHANGING THE AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN TIME OF
THE DEVICE
1.
Turn the device on.
2.
Check if the display shows „0".
3.
Hold „TARE" until the display shows „APO 3".
4.
Press „TARE" to select 1, 3 or 5 minutes.
5.
Press „MODE" to confirm the choice.
CAUTION: The device will turn off automatically only
when it is running on battery.
3.2.4. CALIBRATION
1.
Place the scale on an even, stable and hard surface.
2.
Turn the scale on.
3.
Press and hold „MODE" for 6 seconds.
4.
Select the calibration value 2.5 or 10 kg with the
„TARE" button.
5.
Confirm the choice by pressing the „MODE" button.
6.
Place the appropriate weight (according to the value
selected) on the pan. When the (last) reading is
stabilized, the display will show „PASS".
CAUTION: If the weight becomes unstable or the
calibration is interrupted, the display will show "Err"
and will turn off automatically.
7.
Turn the scale off.
3.3. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Skin contact with the pan may cause corrosion
of the device, therefore it is recommended to put objects
to be weighed on the pan with gloves or, if possible, with
tweezers.
a)
Always unplug the device before cleaning it.
b)
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
c)
Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge
it in water.
d)
The device must be regularly inspected to check its
technical efficiency and spot any damage.
e)
Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
f)
Do not leave the battery in the device if it will not be
used for a longer period of time.
g)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects for cleaning
(e.g. a wire brush or a metal spatula) because they may
damage the surface material of the appliance.
h)
Replace the batteries when the display shows „Lo".
SAFE REMOVAL OF BATTERIES AND RECHARGEABLE
BATTERIES
1.5V AAA batteries are installed in the devices. Remove
used batteries from the device using the same procedure
by which you installed them. Recycle batteries with the
appropriate organisation or company.
DISPOSING OF USED DEVICES
Do not dispose of this device in municipal waste systems.
Hand it over to an electric and electrical device recycling
and collection point. Check the symbol on the product,
instruction manual and packaging. The plastics used
to construct the device can be recycled in accordance
with their markings. By choosing to recycle you are
making a significant contribution to the protection of our
environment. Contact local authorities for information on
your local recycling facility.
