Please bear in mind that tubular drive types Typ R8/17R bis R40/17R und R8/17R+ bis R20/17R+ are designed for use in
single-shutter systems (one roller shutter per barrel and drive). If more than one shutter is operated on one barrel, there is no
guarantee that the obstruction detection feature or the anti-lifting security device will operate properly.
BECKER tubular drives can be parallel connected. In this case, maximum switch contact load of the switching device (timer,
relay control, switch, etc.) must not be exceeded.
To control the up and down direction, use external conductor L1. Other devices or consumption units (lamps, relays, etc.) must
not be connected directly to the drive connection cables. For this purpose, the drives and additional units must be decoupled
by relay controls
When installing the drive, an all-pole separation capability from the mains with at least 3 mm contact opening width per pole
must be provided (EN 60335).
Attention: Only use mechanically or electrically locked switching elements with a marked zero position! This also applies when
drives with electronic and mechanical limit switching are used in the same system.
When changing the running direction, the elapse time must be at least 500ms. Switch and control, UP and DOWN commands,
can not be executed simultaneously
Only use switching elements (timers) which do not take the N potential from the drive to actuate drives with electronic limit
switching. The switching element output must be potential-free in the rest position.
Protect the electrical connections against dampness.
Note
BECKER tubular drives are CE qualified. These drives comply with the valid EU guidelines and meet EMC
regulations.
If the drive is operated with devices containing interference sources, the electrician must ensure suitable
interference suppression for the relevant devices.
